A town council is asking people to fill two councillor vacancies.
Wigton Town Council said councillors can be recruited through the co-option process – where the council appoints someone via an agenda item.
“Do you live or work in Wigton? Do you want to be part of a team that cares about Wigton and its residents? Do you have the time to attend monthly full council meetings and join one committee?
“Do you want to be involved in planning events?
“Do you have skills, qualities, or knowledge that can be shared with the council?
“If you have answered yes to any of these then please get in touch with the town clerk Emma Ireton for an informal discussion,” a spokesperson from the council wrote.
Ms Ireton can be contacted via email at clerk@wigtontowncouncil.org.uk.
