A POPULAR Carlisle cafe has launched its updated menu.

The Bobbin in Linton House, Shaddongate has launched a series of items that will feature in its new menu including quiche of the day, hot-filled baguettes, chips, and a separate breakfast menu.

The Bobbin's Lynsey Brunton has worked at the popular local coffee shop for 16 years in a variety of different roles, from the front of house to her current position of manager, and explained how customer feedback has informed the changes.

She said: "I have been here 16 years and I have worked in the front of house, I have worked in the kitchen and I took over as full-time manager at the end of last year.

"This is just me doing my take on the menu. I have worked on the front for so long and heard what customers have been asking for, like your full English Breakfast and chips, and this is why we have added them.

"We have kept all the traditional stuff that people love but we have given it a more modern twist."

Alongside the new menu, the Bobbin is also offering afternoon tea in its newly-refurbished conservatory.

"We are trying to keep our regular customers and we just want to keep everyone happy really whilst offering something new," Lynsey said.

"Business is great, I can't complain at all, we are getting a lot of new faces and it is just onwards and upwards."
