Cumbria Police have seized a sports car after reports of a group of 'around 40 vehicles' were racing on the M6 near Tebay.
After responding to initial reports from National Highways at around 10am (March 16), Cumbria Police responded, pulling over one of the 'performance' cars.
The vehicle, previously subject to a Section 59 warning, was confiscated.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Cumbria Police is committed to leading the way on targeting those who are making our roads unsafe for all.
"Our dedicated Roads Policing Unit has officers who work day in and day-out to make our county’s roads safer."
The new unit aimed at making roads safer was first established in October, last year.
Its creation meant some officers would move away from operating a dual role as road policing officers and firearms officers - creating a position for 20 additional officers dedicated solely to road policing.
Police have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage to come forward to their website www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it, quoting log number 76.
