As Easter approaches it can be hard as a family to think of ways to entertain the kids, especially something that will appeal to the whole family.

Zip World Windermere is an all-weather activity suitable for families with children aged three and above. The site, located right on the shores of Windermere, is easy to reach, has ample parking and is set right in the heart of the central Lakes at Brockhole Visitor Centre.

Zip World Windermere features three different attractions in one, which can be done independently or all booked together for an extended experience.

The Full Trek, a high rope adventure, is aimed at adults and slightly older children aged seven and upwards. It features a total of 32 obstacles and reaches a maximum height of 15m.

Amongst the obstacles are balance bars, swinging logs and Indiana Bridges, the culmination of which is an exhilarating 250m triple zip line descent right to the shores of Windermere.

The triple line adds an extra element of fun as participants can ‘race’ each other to the end to see who lands first!

The Full Trek costs from £38 per person, with an estimated 2.5 hour time to complete the course from arrival to finish.

News and Star:
Younger visitors aged five and upwards and their adult companions can also take part in the Mini-Trek.

For adults and less confident adventurers, this trek offers an introduction to what to expect from the Full Trek and can be a great start for beginners. Starting off at just 5m high, the lower course also features fewer obstacles, just 16 in total.

Varying slightly from the Full Trek, participants can expect swinging vines, mini zip lines and wobbly logs. However, as with the Full Trek, the final challenge (for those brave enough) ends with the triple 250m zip wire.

The Mini Trek costs from £27 per person and takes between one and 1.5 hours to complete.

Finally, for the smallest adventurers and the young at heart, the Treetop Nets are an elevated bouncy escapade. Burn off excess Easter Eggs and energy over a one to two hour experience that features ball parks, a crawl tunnel, super fast slides and aerial walkways. Tickets for Treetop Nets cost from £23 per person and are suitable for anyone aged four and over.

Just for Easter, visitors can also enjoy an additional extra for free. The annual Easter Bunny hunt is a fun treasure hunt to search for 20 wooden bunnies hidden in the trees.

Maps and pens are available from the team for this ‘just for fun’ event.
