A residential area of a Cumbrian town has recently had its community noticeboard reinstalled.
The noticeboard is now back in place at Castletown’s recreation ground ‘after years of neglect’, according to Castletown Community Action Group.
A group spokesperson said its initiative involved two members – Chris Jopson and Gary Riane, who repaired the board with funding from Nilfisk, a cleaning equipment company based nearby at Gilwilly Industrial Estate.
“The board was in disrepair and unable to be used,” said a spokesperson for the group.
"Now, we’re happy it’s back-up, 100 per cent repaired and full of local information.”
