A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been banned from stores in a west Cumbrian town following a number of recent thefts.
Diane Rawlinson, 40, was handed a criminal behavior order which prevents her from entering shops in Workington which is a member of the Schemewatch scheme.
Rawlinson, of Mitchell Avenue, Northside, Workington has also been banned from entering Asda, Marks & Spencer and Morrisons in Workington and Seaton Service Station and One Stop Shop in Seaton.
It follows the defendant’s latest conviction for theft from a shop which saw her steal bottles of shampoo and conditioner worth £26.97 from Boots in Workington.
Magistrates sitting in Workington imposed the two-year criminal behaviour order along with a one-year community order.
Rawlinson must complete a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
She was fined £80 and ordered to pay £26.97 in compensation to Boots.
