A FEMALE in the Eden area has been arrested in relation to offences under the Dangerous Dog Act.
In connection with the arrest, on Monday February 26, Cumbria Police also seized a prohibited XL Bully breed dog.
From December 31, 2023, the dog known as the XL bully has been designated as a prohibited type and is added to the list of dogs to which S1 Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 applies.
It is against the law to:
- sell an XL Bully dog
- abandon an XL Bully dog or let it stray
- give away an XL Bully dog
- breed from an XL Bully dog
- have an XL Bully in public without a lead and muzzle
