She said: "It is basically a welded bracelet, it's not a tattoo, it is literally a lovely, dainty chain and tiny little jump rings and a micro welder you weld it together so it becomes a permanent piece of jewellery.

"You can have a bracelet, an anklet, or a necklace and I think coming up to summer that would be lovely.

"People can also add little charms to make it really personal so they could add initials or birthstones so it is exciting."

Forever jewellery has already been popular in the United States of America and in Australia, however, in recent times thanks to social media sites such as TikTok, the trend has begun to catch on in the UK and Ashley is hoping to be the first to bring it to Carlisle.

"I know that some of the bigger cities do it like Glasgow and obviously in London but there is no one in Carlisle that does it as far as I know so as I already do jewellery and stuff I thought this was a really nice add-on.

"When I have mentioned it to people they have said that they have wanted one for ages, and I did a bit of market research first to see if people would be interested and it got really good feedback."News and Star:

After the range's launch at the Carlisle Cathedral-based crafts event, Ashley has plans to bring it to another popular independent Carlisle business and says that she is 'buzzing' get started.

She said: "I am launching it at the Fratry at our Quirky Easter fair and thereafter I am going to be popping up at Flutter and Fern.
