A pub has celebrated five years since re-opening after the completion of refurbishment with 'an absolute cracker' of a party.

The Howard Arms Hotel in Brampton was taken over by Andrew and Ruth Seggie in December 2018 and promptly closed so that the upgrading works could begin

The pub subsequently re-opened on Valentine's Day in 2019 and to mark the half a-decade milestone, it hosted a party to celebrate the community that it has built and the hard work of its staff.

In a social media post, they said: "What an absolute cracker of a night. We laughed, we danced, we sang and we drank the night away

"We cannot begin to explain what the support of you all means to us, we wouldn't have the pub we have today without each and every one of our amazing customers.

"Thank you to all of those involved in making last night as fantastic as it was and a special thanks to our wonderful team who worked their socks off last night, it was manic, but we wouldn't want it any other way.

"Here's to another five years as amazing as these have been."
