Fibrus, a Full Fibre broadband provider, has introduced a new social tariff for individuals on income-related benefits, including Universal Credit and Pension Credit.

Called the Full Fibre Essential, this offering aims to make broadband more affordable at less than £15 per month.

Those receiving benefits such as Income-based Employment Support Allowance, Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit and Universal Credit will now qualify for the plan, which promises a 'fast and reliable' full fibre broadband service.

The tariff, priced at £14.99 per month, will extend to both new and existing customers who qualify.

There are no activation fees and it comes with a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Users will not be charged additional sums over the initially agreed upon amount, and no fee will be collected for leaving the tariff before contract termination.

Fibrus chief executive Dominic Kearns said: "We've made a conscious decision to offer full fibre broadband at a discounted rate with our new social tariff, to help meet the needs of different households."

“Fibrus aims to enhance the lives of communities in rural areas who have long experienced limited connectivity options.

"Access to dependable, high-speed broadband is now as essential as electricity and heating for modern homes. We believe broadband should be accessible to everyone.”

“Priced at £14.99 per month, we hope that the tariff will make Full Fibre broadband more accessible to those eligible for income support under the Department for Work and Pensions."

For verification of eligibility, new customers are requested to visit www.fibrus.com, while existing customers can call 028 9099 3230.
