A TEENAGER who had an account with a service that provides “bespoke” online pornography blackmailed a subscriber, threatening to reveal his interest unless he paid her £300.

Kasey Routledge, 19, who had previously interacted with the victim via a site called ‘Fab Swingers,’ told her victim she would report his interest in her to the mother of his kids if he failed to pay,  Carlisle Crown Court heard.

The defendant, of Rowe Terrace, Workington, admitted a single count of blackmail. Prosecutor Andrew Evans outlined the facts.

He said the defendant had an account with the OnlyFans website, which allows subscribers to access “adult content” posted by content creators in return for a subscription fee.

The victim, who was not named in court, had connected with the teenager previously via Fab Swingers but she directed him to her OnlyFans account.

The man also added her contact details on to the SnapChat platform. Using one of the platforms, the man asked the teenager to make him some “content,” said Mr Evans, explaining this was a reference to “bespoke pornography.”

The barrister added: “The defendant said she would do this for £100 but the arrangement was never finalised.  He tried again on September 28 [last year]. She responded that the price was now £130. Details of request were exchanged and agreed.”

They agreed to meet up, she agreeing to go to his home but she asked for payment first – 50 per cent before the meeting and the rest after it.

She asked him to send his photo, which he sent. “She also asked to see a picture of his bank balance,” continued Mr Evans.

When he refused, Routledge replied with a message on September 28 last year that amounted to extortion, telling the man: “If you don’t send me everything that is on there [the contents of his bank account], I’ll text your kids mam and tell [them] you’re a nonce.

"I’m 16 years old.”

This message was accompanied with a screenshot of the man’s former partner’s Facebook profile, indicating that she was indeed capable to making that contact, said the prosecutor.

The defendant even sent the victim a draft of the message she would send, which read: “Hey. Just thought I’d let you know your baby’s dad is paying a 16-year-old to meet up with them.”

She followed this with: “Don’t dare block me or I’ll tell everyone else you follow.” She then increased her cash demand to £300.

The man reported Routledge to the police.

Sean Harkin, defending, said that the teenager was remorseful and apologetic for her offending. There had been only one victim and the defendant at the time she committed the offence was immature.

After hearing the case, Judge Nicholas Barker imposed an eight-month jail term but suspended it for two years. The sentence includes 10 rehabilitation activity days with the Probation Service.

While OnlyFans is used by some celebrities to promote themselves, the adults-only service is also used by sex workers promoting their own pornography for subscribers.

The service has an estimated 130 million users worldwide and more than 1 million content creators.
