A new set of officers have graduated training in Cumbria.

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary, which polices Sellafield on the West coast, congratulated the graduating officers.

“We are so proud of everything these exceptional officers have achieved to reach this milestone,” a CNC spokesperson said.

They added: “We wish them all the very best for their careers ahead as authorised firearms officers in the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.

“The officers joined from a range of backgrounds and previous occupations, each bringing their unique experiences and knowledge to the team.

“They have worked together to complete various assessments and have all demonstrated the necessary behaviours and skills required to undertake this vital policing role.

“Thank you to the family and friends who joined us to celebrate and who have supported the officers through every stage of their journey.

“We are sure this is a proud day that you will never forget.

“The officers will now be deployed to their operational units across the UK, where they will join us in delivering our mission - deter, defend, deny, recover.

“Congratulations to all!”
