AN artist-run gallery in Wigton has reopened following an extensive refurbishment.
The Fountain Gallery, on King Street, is inviting people to come in and see for themselves the newly-revamped spacious showplace for original art and craft by North Cumbrian artists.
Each month the gallery displays new paintings, sculptures, jewellery, ceramics, woodcraft, photography, textiles, and fabric crafts, plus artists’ cards and prints.
A picture framing service is also offered on Friday mornings.
Since 2011, Wigton’s popular Fountain Gallery has showcased the work of artists at a premises on High Street, however in 2021, the group moved to its current and larger site on King Street.
The current site was formerly home to a Barclays bank branch.
The King Street gallery is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday and Saturday 10am to 1pm.
