CARLISLE Cathedral have announced that some of their Christmas Services recorded the highest attendance since 2017.
All of the Christmas Services at the Cathedral were well attended, however the Crib Service and the Midnight Mass welcomed the highest numbers of worshippers in over six years.
Carlisle Cathedral said: "It was great to see the Cathedral full of visitors, especially after the Covid pandemic, and we thank everyone who visited us during Advent and Christmas."
This follows a nationwide trend as analysis by The Times showed that many cathedrals nationally have seen an increase in congregation numbers.
