A MAN has been charged in connection with an investigation into an assault which occurred in Cockermouth.
Gareth Skillen, aged 41, of Ribton Close, Cockermouth, has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He will remain in police custody until he appears before Workington Magistrates’ Court on January 29.
The charge follows an incident on January 22, police said. A man, aged in his 30s, suffered serious facial injuries which required medical treatment.
