IN this edition of nostalgia, we are continuing to look back at memories from our towns and city. Today, we land in Carlisle in the 1950s.
Our first photo takes us back to 1959 as the Border Regiment old and new colours in Carlisle Company of troops leave the castle.
Another shows Bury's Roy MacLaren who saves from Carlisle's Ron Tulloch as Frank Mooney looks on in 1957.
It was Royal Visit's galore in the 50s as Princess Margaret leaves the Cathedral to visit the Industrial Exhibition at the Market and Carlisle residents enjoy jubilee celebrations.
Celebrations were taking place in the city as one photo shows horses as they carry Roman soldiers in a Carlisle parade to mark the 800th anniversary of the city in 1958.
