A PUB is offering free coffee, tea, and showers to local residents affected by Storm Isha.

The Lowther Arms in Mawbray, Mayport announced on social media that it would be opening its doors today to support those impacted by the weather.

It also extended this offer to residents in Allonby who have no electricity or wifi.

The pub's tenants Carl McIntosh Ormerod and Ben McIntosh Ormerod confirmed that locals who have been affected by the adverse weather conditions can head down to the community-owned pub and receive free refreshments.

They said: "We are opening the doors of our community-owned pub today for local
residents in the rural community who have no power to offer free coffee and tea and showers  as power is expected to be off until tomorrow at 5pm."
