A BRIDE wowed her guests with her baking skills on her wedding day.

Samantha Cranston was pleased to display her skills and promote her baking business by making 120 cupcakes on a seven-tier cake stand, topped with a four-tier six-inch vanilla sponge for her own wedding cake when she married her husband Kieran Birkett.

The day finally arrived for Samantha and Kieran to get married at Plumpton Wall St John the Evangelist's Church in Penrith on November 10, 2023.News and Star: Wedding partyWedding party (Image: Jill Herrington)

Samantha wore a beautiful dress, veil and headpiece from The Wedding Dress Company in Corbridge and was escorted down the aisle by her sister Zoey Cranston, Kieran's sister Caitlin Birkett and her cousin Elle Lancaster, along with Amy Idle, Kim Ross and Kelly McKeraghan.

Samantha also had her flower girls Coral Millican, Charlotte Chisholm and Isla Williams by her side.

Waiting at the altar with Kieran was Samantha's brother Marcus Cranston, Joe Hodgson, James Tiffin, Dylan Hodgson, Stephen Halliwell and Jordan Hodgson.

Reflecting on her big day, Samantha said: "At the end of the ceremony we travelled to our reception in a Rolls Royce, which was arranged by my parents as a surprise wedding gift.

"When we arrived at The Heather Glen Country House for the reception, we were greeted by our 80-day guests and had champagne and toasts at 3.30pm."
