The Keswick Mountain Rescue Team has been called into action due to the icy weather across the fells the last three days.
A walker, having slipped near the Skiddaw summit, sustained potential fractures.
She was helped down to Dodd Wood by a group of passers-by, and then transported to the hospital.
"A heroic effort by the woman, and many thanks to the lads who helped out," a spokesperson from Keswick MRT said.
On Monday (January 15), a woman injured her ankle on the Helvellyn track, was carried down by stretcher, and taken for medical checks.
Another ankle injury occurred on Wednesday (January 17) due to icy conditions in Spooney Green Lane, Latrigg, resulting in another hospital trip.
Keswick MRT is reminding walkers to take extra precautions to prevent slips and injuries during this recent cold spell.
