CARLISLE Cult Cinema Club will be hosting a screening of Quadrophenia this month.

The film club operates through social media and promotes a range of quirky and retro movies.

They also host movie screenings at The Source in Carlisle and on January 20 they'll be screening the Mod classic Quadrophenia, with doors opening at 7pm and the film starting at 8pm.

Paul Donaldson, of Carlisle Cult Cinema Club, said: "We'll be showing Quadrophenia, the ultimate Mod film.

"It's a great British cult movie that I've never seen on the big screen so I thought it would draw in a few punters.

"There seems to be quite a bit of interest so far. We've been doing the film screenings for about eight years now and they've proved to be quite successful in this time.

"Quadrophenia brings me back to my school days as I watched it a lot as a teenager with my friends, so I'm hoping that some of them can turn up this month."
