AN Egremont bistro has closed its doors just months after it was relaunched under new management.
MAQs Bistro, was relaunched in the former Cat Inn on Main Street in August under the management of Matthew Hooper, who previously ran the Pasta Delight takeaway in Frizington.
The bistro, which served a range of homemade dishes to eat in or takeaway and also offered Sunday lunches, had quickly become popular with locals.
But an announcement posted on the MAQs Bistro Facebook page on January 1 said the restaurant operations had now ceased.
The statement said: “Thank you for supporting our bistro. We’ve decided to cease restaurant operations but will continue with our hotels.”
