A 25-year-old author based in Carlisle has just unveiled their latest literary creation, Allure.

Author CEON, who enjoys gigs, video games, and reading when not immersed in their writing, described Allure as a supernatural tale that unfolds after protagonist Hannah's one-night stand with a woman leaves her wanting to kill her boyfriend.

"I worked on Allure for around 5 to 6 months. With each book I write, I can see my writing constantly improving," CEON said.

This will be the second release from author CEON following on from The Condition: Impervious in 2022, another read with a focus on queer and mental health representation.

"I think it is important for people to feel seen in books.

"To know that their experiences are real and that they're not alone.

"And although I write about fictional things like vampires and superpowers, these people are still experiencing real emotions and being impacted by these happenings," they said.

Reflecting on having released two publications by the age of 25, CEON said: "I actually spoke about this recently!

"Teenage me would be stunned that I have published books.

"It is wild to see my books in shops and to know that strangers are reading them.

"I am very happy and excited to bring more to this experience," they said.

The author is certainly not resting on their laurels, with more work already in the pipeline.

"I have two more finished manuscripts that I have started querying recently, so hopefully there shall be more to come soon," they said.

The book is now available in major book retailers such as Waterstones, Bookshop.org, Amazon, WHSmith, Blackwells, and Foyles, as well as many independent stores.

Additionally, Allure can be accessed through Kindle Unlimited.
