A MAN has been fined for stealing a fire poker from a city centre hotel.
Andrew Bell, 46, admitted two charges of theft when he appeared before Carlisle Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Bell stole the fire poker from The Crown and Mitre Hotel on December 27. He also stole coins worth £4 from the hotel on December 26.
The defendant, whose address is given as not known in court documents, was fined £120.
He was ordered to pay £4 in compensation to the Crown and Mitre Hotel and £85 costs.
