In this edition of nostalgia, we are looking back at Christmas in our towns and villages. Today, we land in Brampton.
This collection of photos show how Christmas was celebrated in Brampton. Not much has changed in how we celebrate Christmas, including Christmas lights, markets, church services, nativities and community events.
These photos show what was happening throughout the years; several photo shows Brampton Infants School such as multiple nativities and the choir throughout the years.
Another photo shows carol singing at the Brampton home of Patrick Campbell, the Border Programme Controller at Border Television. The pupils from Irthing Valley School were being filmed as part of a Christmas Eve broadcast.
One photo shows three cast members of the 1975 production of Robin Hood by the Brampton Players.
