WAR veteran fundraiser Mark Harding received a Christmas card from the prime minister.

Mark has spent the last few years taking part in a range of charitable endeavours to raise money for causes close to his heart.

Whilst serving in Afghanistan Mark was severely injured after being shot in the neck.

He was told that he would never walk again but has since regained some of his mobility.

He has taken on many challenges such as walking from John O'Groats to Lands' End to raise money for charities that support the military community.

His efforts have gained national attention, and he was given the opportunity to meet the prime minister this year.

Mr Harding said: "Just two days ago, to my utter surprise, I received a Christmas card from none other than the prime minister Rishi Sunak and his lovely wife.

"It was an incredibly heartwarming gesture. Their wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled me with joy and motivation for next year.

"It reminded me that no matter how big or small, every act of kindness can make a huge difference. Let's continue to spread positivity as we step into the New Year."
