A CARLISLE club will have to wait a little longer to find out whether or not it will lose its license.

Bosses from Truth nightclub were due to face councillors and officers from Cumbria police at a meeting of Cumberland Council's Licensing Sub Committee at the Civic Centre in Carlisle on Thursday (December 7).

However, by the time the hearing began, members of the committee were informed that a representative of the club was unable to attend.

Councillor Trevor Allison (Dalston and Burgh, Conservative) suggested that it should be adjourned to a later date and the rest of the panel agreed.

The meeting was initially called after concerns were raised by Cumbria Police that the club had allegedly been serving underage customers.

The date for the rescheduled hearing is yet to be set.
