A SEPTIC tank in Brampton could be replaced with a new sewage treatment plant together with a new fence if permission for the planning application is granted.
Kim Wood, of Rainbow View, Banks, has submitted plans for the project to Cumberland Council's planning department where they are currently being considered.
According to the application the GRAF sewage treatment plant would be placed in the garden of Rainbow View.
In addition, the project would also replace associated pipework to ensure all foul water is directed to the sewage treatment plant and to reinstate the original discharge point at the top of a copse on a neighbours' land.
The application states that an environmental permit has been applied for and a new higher fence, hedge, shrubs and trees would help protect privacy. The site covers an area of in 0.1 hectares.
