THE Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway have announced their Santa Special trains will not run today, December 3.
This is due to the bad weather conditions affecting most of the county.
A spokesperson said: "We have made the decision that our Santa Special Trains on Sunday, December 3 will not run.
"We have made this decision as Cumbria Police are requesting that you do not travel unless absolutely necessary.
"We are aware there are impassable and blocked roads We must do the responsible thing and ask you all to stay warm and safe. We will be in touch with you all.
"We are going to be very busy today working out plans and contacting people so please wait for us to call you. We are truly sorry but your safety is paramount."
