CUMBRIA Police are reporting that the M6 Southbound between J38-J37 has been partially blocked due to jack-knifed lorries.
Motorists are warned to travel only if necessary with thirteen traffic alerts on the Cumbria Road network
Cumbria Police have posted: "The M6 Southbound between J38 and J37 is currently blocked due to jackknifed lorries.
"We are reiterating our message to the public that people should only travel where necessary."
Traffic monitoring website Inrix reports: "Cumbria - M6 - Incidents and Hazards
"M6 both ways just passable due to snow from J38 A685 (Tebay) to J37 A684 (Kendal)."
Other Traffic alerts include:
A5092 both ways impassable due to snow between Whicham (Whicham) and Greenodd (Greenodd).
A591 Kendal: Road is impassable due to snow
Other roads blocked include Kirkstone Pass; Killington A684; Shap A6; Singleton A684; Kirkby Stephen A685; Greenodd A590; Newby Bridge A592; Skelwith Bridge A593; Greenodd A590
