A CLOSURE order has been granted at a property due to concerns surrounding anti-social behaviour.

Following efforts from Brampton Neighbourhood Policing Team, Riverside Group Housing and the Carlisle Local Focus Hub, a Carlisle Magistrates Court granted the order after it was revealed that the targeted premises had been a hub for disorderly, offensive, and criminal behaviour, causing serious nuisance to members of the public.

The order empowers the police to close the identified premises for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extending it for an additional three months.

During the period of the closure order, no one is permitted to enter the property unless specific exemptions are outlined in the order.

A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: " We will always try and stop the behaviour utilising various, less severe options, but if the behaviour continues, you may lose your home.

"If you're having problems with anti-social behaviour, we're here to help.

"You can report problems online, using 101 or emailing 101emails@cumbria.police.uk.

"If something is ongoing you should call 999.

"If you want to remain anonymous but would like us to know where anti-social behaviour is occurring, you can report to crimestoppers online or by calling 0800 555 111," they said.
