A NEW café/bar will be opening in Penrith on December 6.

Loungers plc, known for its trendy café/bar concepts, has taken over a location at The Squares Development to create Arturo Lounge.

Loungers has revamped the place and now its cosy and stylish dining and drinking areas feature patterned wallpapers, tiled and stripped wooden floors, vintage oversized sofas, upholstered lounge chairs, eclectic artworks and distinctive lights.

Arturo Lounge aims to offer a varied and innovative all-day menu catering to all tastes providing options from a simple coffee catch-up to a leisurely brunch and a relaxed dinner.

Highlights from the menu include tapas, salads, burgers, buttermilk fried chicken, as well as distinct vegan and gluten-free menus.

Gemma Irwin, community manager at Loungers, said: “We are delighted to be opening Arturo Lounge in Penrith.

"Our lounges strive to put the community at the heart of hospitality and our teams always go the extra mile to make a difference.

"They are actively encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life.

"We are very much looking forward to welcoming local residents to Arturo Lounge" she said.

Keeping families in mind, specific amenities for children will be provided such as games, books, colouring materials, high chairs and baby-changing facilities.

The announcement follows a month after Loungers transformed the former Topshop site on Carlisle's English Street.
