A group of Year 11 students from Samuel King’s School in Alston met with their local MP on their visit to Parliament.

During a busy day of Prime Minister’s Questions and debating the King’s Speech, Dr Neil Hudson met with students and answer their questions about his role and pressing issues for young people.

Dr Neil Hudson MP said: “It was a delight to meet the wonderful students and staff of Samuel King’s when they visited London this week.

"We discussed important developments with a bus service to get some of them to college next year that I helped secure as well as digital connectivity, mental health and the recent King’s Speech.

“For schools in rural areas like ours, I think students have so much to gain from visiting our capital and its renowned institutions.

"Therefore, I would absolutely encourage educators to get in touch with me and I would be more than happy to help facilitate visits to Parliament.”
