Cumbrian stars Jarrad Branthwaite and James Trafford have received their latest international call-ups.

The young Premier League duo are in the England Under-21 squad for Euro qualifiers against Serbia and Northern Ireland.

Everton defender Branthwaite, from Wigton, and Burnley goalkeeper Trafford, from Greysouthen, are regulars in the Young Lions squad.

The former Carlisle United academy duo will get their latest chances to impress for Lee Carsley's side in the double-header later this month.

England take on Serbia in Backa Topola on Saturday, November 18 before playing at Branthwaite's home ground of Goodison Park for the Northern Ireland clash on Tuesday, November 21.

Branthwaite, 21, has three U21 caps to his name while Trafford, who turns 21 today, is long established as the side's No1, having starred in this summer's run to the European Championships title.

Also in the 24-man squad is Liam Delap, son of former Carlisle United star Rory.

Branthwaite's form for Everton in the Premier League has led some observers to tip him for a future England senior call-up by Gareth Southgate.
