PLANS for concessionary travel in Cumbria during 2024 to 2025 will be set out in Workington next week.

Members of Cumberland Council's executive committee will discuss the Cumberland Council and Westmorland & Furness Council Joint Concessionary
Travel Scheme 2024/25 on Tuesday (October 31).

They will consider a report which lays out proposals for the scheme including the reimbursement rate to be paid to transport operators.

It is recommended that members approve the publication of the draft document which maintains the same eligibility criteria as the current scheme and also maintains the current basic reimbursement rate at 58 per cent.

Tuesday's (October 31) public meeting will be at Allerdale House from 10.30am.
