WHITEHAVEN'S first bubble tea shop has enjoyed a successful first month after doors opened to the public in September.

Angy Boba sells drinks. ice cream, Japanese miso and ramen soups, rice and protein noodles, special cakes and mochi.

The venture was launched by the mind behind King's Corner on King Street who also operate the escape rooms there.

Now operating in two buildings on King Street, a representative of King's Corner said: "We want to keep offering new recreational opportunities for Whitehaven residents and the visitors to the town, and make Whitehaven more colourful with Angry Boba's new pink shop.

"Bubble Tea can also be a different taste than you would think so if you never tried it before, come down and see!"

They went on: "The businesses are not supported by any organisation, they are self-sustaining. Let's support a new business by appreciating that they are creating something new and unique in the town."

King's Corner members are a group of Hungarian friends who as a result of a lot of brainstorming during the pandemic, created these places, aiming to create something that has never been done in Whitehaven before.

News and Star:

The premises and equipment of the businesses were created with an 'eco-friendly recycling approach'.

So far, the favourites at Angry Boba are the 'Double Bubble' and the 'Grinch Matcha' flavours, while the most sought after meal is the Udon Ramen soup, the favourite desserts are the Coconut Cube and the Chimney Cone with Ice Cream.

King's Corner are hoping to organise workshops for children in the coming months at the Angry Boba shop where they can get involved in making bakes etc.
