POLICE are investigating a burglary in which three watches were stolen in the Heads Nook area, east of Carlisle.
The burglary took place sometime between September 15 and September 18.
Items stolen included:
- A men's GARRARDS automatic gold watch with gold flex wristband, with a round cream face.
- A grey, round face men’s wristwatch, inscribed with a message from FERGUSON BROTHERS.
- A women's square ROTARY gold watch with pearlized face.
A Swiss army knife, red and silver with a Swiss flag motif, was also thieved.
Police are also looking to identify any CCTV of three men in the Warwick Bridge/Burnigg/Little Corby area who were reportedly trying to sell artwork, 'claiming to be deaf'.
Police say they are 'open-minded' as to whether this is connected to the Heads Nook burglary.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, including persons or vehicles, in the Heads Nook area that weekend.
"Local residents are reminded to be extra vigilant and to ensure windows and doors are secure when they leave the house.
