A CUMBRIAN COUPLE jetted off to Menorca for a mini moon after a perfect wedding at Thursby Church followed by a reception at the Greenhill Hotel, Wigton.

Leah,27,and Scott Comish, 30, met 12 years ago after meeting through mutual friends and claim to have been 'inseperable' ever since.

The pair both live at Micklethwaite where Leah is a teacher at James Rennie School and teaching children with special educational needs and Scott works at Pirelli Tyre Factory in Carlisle.

Scott proposed to Leah in December 2022 on a cold winters day in -10 degrees when the couple went for a walk in the snow.

After their engagement announcement celebration, the pair planned their hen and stag do.

 Scott went to liverpool go karting and followed by going to Dalston show, whereas Leah went to Cartmel races and went cocktail making in carlisle.

Finally, the couple's wedding day arrived and the pair got married on August, 26 2023.

Speaking of her wedding day, Leah said:"Our theme of our wedding day was Lilac, as it’s my favourite colour but we also had other colours/flowers involved.

"I wore a beautiful dress from Simply Koko and it was altered by Gabrielle Couture. 

"Scott's best man was his best friend Liam Wannop, his ushers was his brother Gavin Comish and my brother Joe Irving.

"My bridesmaids were my best friends Hannah Wannop and Monica Giovannini and my page boys were my best friends little boy Tom Wannop and Scott's nephew Leyton Comish. We also had our flower girls, family friend Beth Stratton and Scott's neice Evelyn Comish.

"We had around 50 guests on the day, 100 on evening.

"We had ceremony at 12pm, reception arrival 1:15pm, followed by our speeches at 3pm and meal after that.

"Our favours were jam roly poly & biscoff chocolates from castle chocolates in carlisle and  bubbles for children.

"Details of type of cake including supplier three-tier buttercream cake which had chocolate, vanilla & lemon sponge layors from Central Bakery, Carlisle. The cake also had a topper from Lakeland Laser Creations of our pet cat.

"Then it was time for our first dance to Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran.

"Our favourite moment from the day was when we arrived at Greenhill and got our welcome drinks.

"We saw our guests and got our pictures took while the singer was singing outside in the Gazebo. It just felt like everything had come together how we wanted/pictured it to be and it didn’t rain. The weather was perfect.

"After our wedding we had a mini moon to Menorca for four nights but we hope to go to the Caribbean next year."
