In the review of 'The Last Voyage of the Demeter' Paul said: "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" takes audiences on a cracking journey based on Bram Stoker's iconic novel, "Dracula." Directed by Andre Ovredal, the film showcases the exceptional talents of Liam Cunningham, David Dastmalchian, and Corey Hawkins, who deliver stellar performances in their respective roles.

"Drawing inspiration from the captivating chapter, "The Captain's Log," the story unfolds aboard the Russian schooner Demeter.

"Chartered to transport 24 mysterious wooden crates from Carpathia to London, the crew becomes entangled in a nightmarish ordeal as they are relentlessly pursued by an ominous presence aboard the vessel.

"The suspense steadily builds, gripping viewers until the ship reaches Whitby Harbour, only to find it deserted, with no trace of the crew."

While "The Last Voyage of the Demeter" holds great potential for a franchise, it unfortunately did not fare well at the box office.

"Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the film, largely due to the masterful tension that arises as Dracula picks off the crew one by one.

"However, there were a few moments of lackluster CGI, a common issue in modern big-budget horror films.

"Though practical effects were present, they were not as prominent as desired. Personally, I believe that flawed practical effects trump subpar CGI anytime."

The review thrilled hundreds of film fans worldwide on Facebook gaining over 500 likes and around 30 shares.

Many others commented giving their own thoughts on the film.

As a keen movie enthusiast, Paul joined in on the debate offering his own insights into the film.
