Following the release of their recent EP, a US indie pop duo will be coming to Carlisle to perform.

The California group System Exclusive will play 23 live shows in the UK, having started at the End of the Road festival, and a gig in Southampton on September 6.

They will visit, as well as Carlisle, major cities like Glasgow, London, Manchester, Bristol, and Bath.

The duo, which consists of husband and wife Matt Jones and Ari Blaisdell, play a synth-pop and indie set, and will entertain a crowd at Carlisle’s Source Collective in Denton Holme on September 14.

Speaking about the tour, Matt said: “Where American audiences tend to treat us as a not-unwelcome oddity or a synthy aberration, y'all just seemed to get it.

“We're really looking forward to getting to know the homeland of our heroes - Depeche Mode, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bowie, Gary Numan, New Order, and too many others to count.”

Releasing their self-titled debut album in 2021, the record quickly attracted the attention of the legendary Henry Rollins who said: It’s a case of two great tastes that taste great together.

“Their multi-genre/time period collision is like a car accident where all parties walk away not only unscathed but sure they had a great time, like two different recording sessions sharing the same space and making it work”.

Hot on its heels, System Exclusive followed the release with a new EP in April – Part All The Time.
