Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision on Saturday afternoon close to the Cumbria/Scotland border, south of Gretna, are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
At around 3.30pm at the junction of the A6071 and M6 slip road, over the M6 motorway, a collision occurred involving an Audi A3 and a motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 60s from the Carlisle area, died at the scene of the collision.
Officers arrested the two occupants of the Audi on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
They remained in custody yesterday evening.
The road fully reopened at around 9.10pm.
Officers are urging anyone with information which may assist their investigation to get in touch.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage which may have captured the incident or the moments leading up to it.
