A rabbit has been reunited with its Cumbrian family after being discovered by police on a night shift.
Officers from Allerdale Police discovered the pet on Jane Street in Workington on Thursday, August 31.
The rabbit joined officers for the evening on response before settling down in the station for a couple of carrots.
The rabbit was left in the care of Millcroft Veterinary Group, who put out a post of their own on social media in an attempt to find its owner.
Fortunately, the owner came forward and they were reunited on Friday, September 1.
