A WEST Cumbrian school have praised students for the 'excellent results' they have gained in their GCSE's.

Energy Coast UTC have said they are delighted with the excellent GCSE and BTEC results that students have achieved this summer.

Students have gained a range of academic and technical qualifications which will support them initially to progress onto their chosen sixth form pathways, and then into their future careers.

Head of School, Kerryann Wilson said: “The excellent results achieved by our students are a real testament to the dedication of our students and the inspirational teaching of our staff which combines academic and technical excellence.

"Our Year 11 students and Year 12 students on the Pathway to Apprenticeship have worked exceptionally hard alongside their teachers to secure the best grades possible. These will enable them to progress onto A levels courses of study or secure apprenticeship offers for the next academic year. We are immensely proud of their achievements today and wish all of our students the very best for their future.”

Head of KS4, David McGeehin added: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of our students for the excellent results they have achieved. The students have worked incredibly hard over their GCSE studies and have shown a real commitment to success.

"It has been a pleasure to work with the class of 2023 and support them over the past two years. We are very proud of their achievements and look forward to supporting them with their next steps as they progress onto their sixth form studies or move into apprenticeships.”
