Carlisle United have today brought in Fulham striker Terry Ablade on a season-long loan.

The Premier League prospect, 21, has arrived to bolster Paul Simpson's attacking options.

Ablade, a Finland Under-21 international, has been on Fulham's books for the last five years.

He had a loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in the 2021/22 League One campaign.

The Ghana-born player has otherwise featured regularly for Fulham's Under-21s and Under-18s and has been a regular goalscorer at those levels for the Craven Cottage club.

Last season he scored ten goals in 23 appearances in Premier League 2.

He joined Fulham from Finnish club FC Jazz and is the son of former footballer Seth Ablade.

The forward has made one first-team appearance for Fulham, against Crawley Town in last season's Carabao Cup, and got 12 outings for Wimbledon the previous campaign - ten of them from the bench - without scoring.

Ablade is under contract at the Premier League club until 2025 and is a team-mate of ex-United loanee Sonny Hilton, who has also played in Finland.

Fulham say the forward has "pace and power in abundance".

He becomes Carlisle's 11th signing of the summer and he will aim to feature in the Blues' League One clash at Port Vale on Saturday.
