Workington RNLI rescued a fishing boat stranded by engine trouble that had two people on board today (August 16).
Crews from the rescue service were called out this afternoon following correspondence with Belfast Coastguard after the 27-foot boat reported mechanical issues with their vessel.
A spokesperson from Workington RNLI said: "Workington RNLI was called out to help a fishing boat with engine problems today.
"The volunteer crew was called at 12.27pm by Belfast Coastguard after the 27ft boat, with two people on board, reported mechanical issues with their vessel.

"Workington RNLI launched the all-weather lifeboat Dorothy May White and towed the boat back to Workington.
"The crew returned to the boathouse at 1.15pm," they said.
