A major road in Cumbria closed after a wagon shed its load of hay bales.
Police asked people to please be patient while work is ongoing to reopen the A66 at Crackenthorpe (northwest of Appleby).
National Highways said that the wagon lost its load 'onto another vehicle'.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said the incident was reported at 1:40pm, and currently, there is no indication as to when the road is likely to reopen.
Eden Police tweeted at 4.15pm: "We are currently dealing with an RTC on the A66, on the westbound end of Appleby bypass which is causing traffic issues in both directions.
"We are working with highways and local farmers to get this resolved as soon as we can.
"We ask for your patience."
According to Cumbria police's traffic news website, the road is now clear.
