MUSICIAN and actor Martin Kemp is set to visit Carlisle next year for 'the biggest eighties night to ever hit' the city.

Best known for being the bassist in the new wave band Spandau Ballet and his role as Steve Owen in Eastenders, the 61-year-old is set to DJ at the Old Fire Station on Saturday, February 24.

Kemp will swap his bass for the decks at the Carlisle venue and spin the best hits that the 1980s had to offer in his quest to create an 'unstoppable singalong'.

LoveQuest and Ritz will warm the crowd up before Kemp takes centre stage, with the night promising to be a fun-filled one for any fans of the 80s genre.

The event is sure to be a popular one, and tickets will go on sale on the Old Fire Station website on Saturday at 10.30 am, with presale tickets also available to anyone signed up for the newsletter.
