DRIVERS travelling into Cumbria are expected to expect delays and congestion after a crash in the M6 northbound.
A lane has been closed on the M6 northbound between Lancaster and Carnforth following the collision, with emergency services and traffic officers on scene earlier today, July 23.
The road remains closed whilst recovery and clean up takes place, with drivers being told to expect delays of 45 minutes.
National Highways said: "Lane 1 (of 3) remains closed on the M6 northbound between J34 at Lancaster and J35 at Carnforth.
"Lane remains closed for recovery and clean up.
"There are now delays of 45 mins above normal travel time. There are approx. 6.5 miles of congestion on approach."
