AN air ambulance and emergency services were called to a male who had come off a motorbike last night.

It happened in the Burnmoor Avenue area of Mirehouse, Whitehaven.

A spokesperson for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said: “A team was activated at 8pm to reports of a road traffic collision near Whitehaven.

“They arrived on the scene at 8.40pm. A paramedic and doctors assessed and treated a patient. We didn’t air lift anyone.”

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said they were called just before 8pm yesterday to a report of a male who had come off a motorbike in the Burnmoor Avenue area of Whitehaven.

He was taken to West Cumberland Hospital.
