FIRE crews have extinguished an industrial fire near Longtown.
The blaze started at around 5.30pm on Wednesday (June 14).
Crews from Carlisle East & West, Longtown, Brampton, Penrith, and Scotland attended the scene.
A spokesperson from Cumbria's fire service said: "At approximately 5.30pm, our appliance and aerial ladder platform were mobilised to an industrial unit on fire near to Longtown.
"In attendance, crews discovered a well-developed fire, and are currently battling the blaze using our ALP, and firefighting jets.
"The incident is likely to be protracted," they said on Wednesday night.
