A MAN is in hospital after an incident in Haltwhistle.
Shortly before 1pm last (Thursday) June 1, police received a report a man had sustained injuries at an address on Greenholme Road.
Two men, aged 56 and 45, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 56-year-old has now been released on bail. The 45-year-old remains in custody.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
"He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
